Want to know what is the difference in FIFA 23 Chemistry System from previous FIFA games? Read below to learn everything about it.
The Chemistry system in FIFA 23 works in a drastically different way from previous games in the series, but it is still one of the most important aspects of Ultimate Team that you will have to learn. With the new Chemistry system in FIFA 23, players can link up across the pitch rather than just using a line-based system. So we are here to explain to you the FIFA 23 Chemistry system.
FIFA 23 Chemistry System Explained
A new system replaces the links between the players and makes it more customizable. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson are used in the video as examples. Despite their distance on the field, the two create chemistry. By connecting Mbappé to the PSG defenders or other French midfielders, you can create even more chemistry.
It is important to note that the three diamonds, or squares, on the left of each player’s card indicate how well he fits into your team. He will reach the maximum level with 33 points rather than 100. Because 11 times 3 equals 33 (each player on max chemistry), it makes sense.
Keeping track of who else you could add is easy with a menu on the left that lists the clubs, leagues, and countries in your starting lineup. This concept is the same: the more players from one club, league, or nation in your starting XI, the better your chemistry will be. In addition to showing how many players you need to add to fill the next chemistry square, the small greyed out player heads are also important.
How to increase FIFA 23 Chemistry
There are a few ways to increase FIFA 23 chemistry.
Positions
As a result of their preferred position, a player can only earn Chemistry and thus raise their score above zero. When a player plays his or her preferred position, he or she can contribute to the squad’s Chemistry Threshold. This brings us neatly to the Chemistry Threshold.
Chemistry Thresholds
With each Preferred Position, a player increases their Club, Country/Region, and League Chemistry Thresholds by one. You can gain up to three Chemistry Points by hitting Chemistry Thresholds. If you have several players in your starting eleven who share the same club, country/region, or league, you will gain three Chemistry Points.
Manager
All starting 11 players that either come from the manager’s League or Country/Region receive one Chemistry increase from the manager.
How does Chemistry work with out of position, Icons, and Heroes?
The yellow exclamation mark in the Chemistry Panel indicates that the player is at zero Chemistry and playing at their FUT Item Attributes. Base players can have up to three Alternative Positions in addition to their Preferred Position.
When played in the preferred position, icons always have full Chemistry, regardless of the squad’s other members. Icons also count as two increments toward their Country/Region’s Chemistry Threshold, making them a powerful addition to a squad.
In the same manner, Heroes always have full Chemistry when in their Preferred Positions, and they count as two increments towards their League Chemistry Threshold and one increment towards their Country/Region Chemistry Threshold.
