Here is all you need to know about the kids of NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal
The former NBA player and present sports analyst Shaquille O’ Neal has long been a topic of intrigue among the crowds. Whether it’s regarding his athleticism, his being one of the best centers NBA ever produced, his sometimes controversial sports opinions, or how he is as a father.
Former Los Angeles Lakers star, Shaquille O’ Neal often makes the headlines with his stern takes on parenthood, but what we do know is he is surely a loving father who doesn’t place his children on the money cushion, encouraging them to ‘earn’ their leisure. And some of them do strongly take on their father. Shareef, Shaqir, Taahirah, Myles, Me’arah, and Amirah O’Neal are the six Shaquille o’ Neal kids who are themselves on a path of establishing themselves, as did their father. So, let’s learn where they are, their relationship with their father, and what they are currently doing with their lives.
Taahirah O’Neal – Daughter of Shaquille O’Neal
Starting off with the eldest, the first-born is Taahirah O’Neal who is currently 25 years old born in July 19, 1996. Shaquille O’ Neal had Taahirah with his ex-girlfriend Arnetta Yardbourgh. She graduated from Oglethorpe University in Sociology with a minor in politics and African-American studies. She is dedicated to giving back to society and often takes part in many philanthropic ventures, to make the ‘needed difference’. Taahirah currently is in the social media marketing team and is a community outreach specialist for the brand PepsiCo. Although professionally she may have fallen far from the tree, she loves her father as is evident from her grand gestures for him.
Myles O’Neal
Myles O’Neal is the son of Shaunie O’Neal, Shaq’s ex-wife. Shaquille O’Neal may not be his biological father, but as a stepfather, he hasn’t failed his son. Myles has become a prominent TV personality whose first appearance was at the age of 13. The 24-year-old started his promising modeling career at the age of 21 and by now has endorsed giant brands in the fashion industry such as Vera Wang, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, H&M, Fendi, and Chanel, and so on. He graduated in acting and has also a strong passion for music and DJing.
Shareef O’Neal
Shareef O’Neal is the third born of Shaquille O’Neal who is 21 years old and is a former UCLA and a current player for the LSU Tigers. His athletic prowess has always been remarkable, having learned to dunk by the age of 13 and always ranking top of his class whenever basketball is in question. In fact, Shareef is a college basketball player at one of his father’s alma maters and Shareef burns the same dedication for the sport that the fans saw in him.
Amirah O’Neal
Amirah O’Neal, the 19-year-old also takes after her father and is quite the athlete in the family. She went to the same high school as her father and also partook in the basketball team as a forward player earning quite the praise. In spite of the pandemic posing a hindrance in her path to becoming a professional player, she is quick at following in her elder brother Shareef and father’s footsteps and is currently an enrolled player for the LSU Tigers.
Shaqir O’Neal
The youngest son, Shaqir O’Neal is currently 18 years old. Born on April 19, 2003, Shaqir is one of Shaunie and Shaquille’s children. The young man is already 6’7” in height and like Amirah is a forward basketball player. He played three years of high school basketball at the Crossroads School in Santa Monica. He like his siblings aspires for the heights and is already on a path leading up to it. It was only recently when he announced that he’ll be attending the Texas Southern University with an aim to “change the narrative” perceived for the Black Colleges as TSU.
Me’arah O’ Neal
The youngest child of Shaunie and Shaq, Me’arah too doesn’t fall far from the tree and has basketball running through her veins. She too like her siblings plays for the basketball team at the Crossroads School, California at the position of Center similar to her father. Even at her young age, many prime basketball colleges have already offered the youngster a position in their teams.
So, these are the six children of Shaquille O’Neal who are themselves on their path of glory and we can’t wait to see them grow up and make their names for the amazing personalities they are. Shaquille O’ Neal is as proud a father, as he is also on the disciplinary ground.
