Klay Thompson has shared a philosophical answer regarding the Golden State Warriors moving on from the Jordan Poole-Draymond Green incident.

The Golden State Warriors’ preseason has not been the best one, to say the least. The defending champions’ morale leading into the season where they will defend their title has been dealt with a major blow owing to the infamous bust-up that took place between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole in a practice session – an incident that seems to have divided the locker room.

Reports of the altercation between Draymond Green and Jordan Poole of the Golden State Warriors plagued the Golden State Warriors’ preseason after it was reported that the two got into an altercation in the Warriors’ preseason camp where Green forcefully struck Poole – over a topic of discussion that is believed to be their respective contract situations with the Warriors.

Things went from bad to worse as the footage of the bust-up was leaked, and even though Green has since apologized to both Poole and the team – reports suggest that the damage has been done as the pair are not on speaking terms anymore. The Warriors will want to move on from the bust-up soon, and that is exactly what Klay Thompson said when asked about his thoughts on the incident.

What did Klay Thompson have to say about the altercation?

Klay Thompson came up with quite the philosophical answer when asked about the altercation.

Speaking to the press following the Warriors’ 119-112 preseason finale loss to the Denver Nuggets, Thompson said: “Well, it’s in the past. I think it’s very unfortunate, but I think Ring Night and time will heal all wounds. I know both the guys well – Jordan’s like a little brother, Draymond’s like a brother and um, I think we’re all ready to move past it.

Thompson added: “I think the encore to last year is going to be even better. We know what it takes to go back-to-back and we need both of them to go where we need to go and that’s a fact. So I expect Jordan to be great. Same with Dray.” The Golden State Warriors will tip off their regular season with Ring Night against the Los Angeles Lakers on October 18.
