Darvin Ham in his introductory press conference with the Los Angeles Lakers talked about how important Anthony Davis is to this team.
The Los Angeles Lakers had recently announced the hiring of Darvin Ham as their new head coach. Ham previously was the assistant head coach at the Milwaukee Bucks last season. This decision has brought unity among the ever disgruntled Lakers fan base because they think that Darvin Ham is the right man for their man.
Ham just spoke in his introductory press conference. He gave his views regarding the defense of the team, and what he thinks about the situation of Russell Westbrook. He also talked about how he thinks Anthony Davis is the main man for the Lakers next season.
Darvin Ham said, “We’ve all seen what can happen when he’s healthy when he’s playing at a high level , When he’s in a good rhythm, We saw it in the bubble. His skill set, size, versatility, defensive acumen, his relentlessness. His ability to give multiple efforts defensively is key. It’s going to be the foundation of the type of standard we set within the ‘Darvin Ham era.'”
Darvin Ham wants Anthony Davis to step up like LeBron James
Darvin Ham has clearly indicated that he expects a lot from the Lakers big man. AD is a great talent, and when healthy everyone knows what he is capable of.
Ham further talked about AD and said, “LeBron is going to be LeBron, Russ is going to be Russ, but we need consistency out of Anthony Davis. We need him to be healthy, we need him to be in a good mental space, and we need him to be as consistent as possible, back to playing that championship-type basketball.”
LeBron James was sensational in the recently concluded season also. He will once again step up next season to show why he is in the GOAT race with Jordan. It’s up to Anthony Davis and Westbrook to help LeBron. If they are able to, then the Lakers can contend for a championship next season.
