Carlos Alcaraz reached the quarterfinals of the 2022 Miami Open and will face Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic.
Carlos Alcaraz continued his scintillating form as he came from 5-2 down in the first set to win the match 7-5, 6-3 against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the fourth round of the Miami Open.
The world no. 16 lost in the semi-finals of the Indian Wells Master after giving a tough fight to the 21-time Grand Slam winner Rafael Nadal.
The 18-year old has now won five of his last eight match matches against top 10 players. Carlos is considered one of the finest young players in the tennis world at present and he demonstrated that during the match.

During Alcaraz’s match against Stefanos Tsitsipas, the 18-yer-old played a scintillating rally with a great tweener lob in between.
In the fourth game, Tsitsipas served in what was a rally comprising of 10 shots. Both players hit one tweener lob during the rally respectively but the placement of Alcaraz’s lob was immaculate. He won the point with a fine backhand volley towards the vacant side of the court.
Renowned commentator and sports journalist, Jose Morgado was very impressed by seeing the point. He tweeted:

Alcaraz’s opponent in the quarterfinals, Miomir Kecmanovic, won his Round of 16 match against 2022 Indian Wells champion Taylor Fritz 3-6, 6-1,6-4. After losing the first set, Kecmanovic made a stunning turnaround outplaying the American completely before holding his nerve in the third set to set up a clash versus the sublime Alcaraz.
