Conor McGregor showed his support for Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who has come under fire of late
Manchester United extended Ole Gunnar’s Solskjaer’s stay after the 3-0 thrashing of Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.
In what was believed to be an ‘El Sackico,’ OGS prevailed over Spurs’ boss Nuno Espírito Santo. Nuno ended up being sacked by the Spurs board.
And more recently, Spurs appointed Antonio Conte as Nuno’s successor. The Italian would have possibly joined ‘The Red Devils’ had they sacked OGS.
Manu have also come under severe bashing from the fans for not taking strict action when the team was down. The fans had badly wanted Conte to head the team.
In the wake of this, UFC lightweight Conor McGregor took to Twitter to show his support for Ole.
Standing alongside an OGS memorabilia, McGregor wrote:
“Yup Ole Boi.”
A week ago, ‘The Notorious’ had weighed in on United’s recent troubles. Taking to Twitter, he wrote:
“The issue at United is it’s just bunch of youngfellas talking to each other. Peers. You need some one above the group chat to take the helm. Ole was on the bench when Ronaldo played. A peer. Not enough. Love and respect Ole to the max but his role needs rearranged. My opinion.”
Manchester United take on Manchester City in the EPL next
It’s a string of tough games Manchester United have been currently facing. Having seen off Spurs last weekend, they will host their noisy neighbours, Manchester City next.
City are coming off a loss against Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium.
Before that, they have an important Uefa Champions League fixture against Atalanta FC.
